1. When did you think about music as a career and what were your first steps into it?

It was last year, really. I had three kids in 18 months before that, so thoughts about my career were limited. But now I am writing and recording and I'm loving it.

2. Best gigs you've been to?

This year I went to a Foy Vance gig in Bangor Castle. There were only maybe 80 people at it. I love small intimate gigs; I feel disconnected in the bigger ones.

3. Fantasy wedding/birthday party band of choice?

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

4. The record you'd take to a desert island?

Nocturne by Bernhard Herms.

5. And the book?

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I was made to read it in primary school by my teacher as a punishment. I loved it!

6. Top three films?

The Wiz, The Sound of Music, About Time.

7. Worst film you've seen?

Any film on the Christmas24 channel. They are so cheesy and low budget. But I kind of love them too.

8. Favourite authors?

Anne Lamont. Her honesty and high regard for the written word gets me every time.

9. Sports you most enjoy and top teams?

My husband's family is a big rugby family and surprisingly I have come to absolutely love the game. Go Ireland!

10. Ideal holiday destination?

My sofa. Or any tropical island would do.

11. Pet hate?

Being late.

12. What's your favourite:

Dinner? A buffet of New England crab legs.

Dessert? Chocolate cake.

Drink? A glass of red wine.

13. Who is your best friend and how do you know each other?

My friend from childhood, Marilyn.

14. Is there a God?

Yes.
