THREE’S Theatre Company is bringing its production Now For The North to the MAC theatre next month for a second run in Belfast this year following its sold-out performances at the Lyric in May.
The production is a promenade piece of site-specific ‘choice’ theatre, the company says, with audience members being taken around the MAC, listening to the voices of women affected by the laws surrounding abortion and reproductive rights as they apply in Northern Ireland.
Artistic director Anna Lecky adds of the play, staged in collaboration with Alliance For Choice: "We are here to speak out and tell the stories. Behind every statistic there is a woman. We are not ashamed. We will stand for our sisters, our mothers, our grandmothers, our cousins, our friends. Northern Ireland, we want change.”
