MR BLOBBY has pipped Justin Bieber as the artist behind the worst album of all time, according to a survey.
Noel Edmonds' terrifying bulbous sidekick topped the tuneless Top 50 chart with his 1994 self-titled album.
The Cheeky Girls’ 2004 album ‘Party Time’ was runner-up, following by ‘The Party Album’ released in 1999 by the Vengaboys.
Justin Bieber had the dubious distinction of being the only artist to feature twice in the top ten with 2012’s ‘Believe’ and ‘Purpose’ released in 2015.
Irish rock band U2 feature twice in the top 30 worst albums, with ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ at number 26 and ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ at number 30.
Two albums by One Direction, featuring Mullingar’s Niall Horan, also make the list, with 2012’s Take Me Home at number 8 and Made in the A.M. at number 11.
The list was compiled following a survey of 2000 adults in the UK by trade-in website Ziffit.com.
Paul Treanor, the company’s eCommerce director, said the list reflects how musical tastes change over time.
“What one person thinks is the best album ever, will be something another believes to be the worst,” he said.
One in eight people who took part in the survey admitted they had owned a copy of an album they voted the worst of all time.
