PROFESSIONAL recruitment consultancy MCS Group plans to significantly expand its current office footprint by moving into Flax House in Belfast city centre.
It is the latest confirmed tenant at the recently refurbished grade A accommodation in Belfast’s burgeoning business district and will occupy the 5,600 sq ft third floor.
Established in 2008, MCS Group works across multiple industries including ICT, technical and engineering, accountancy & banking, legal, HR and professional sales and marketing.
Its managing director Barry Smyth said: “Flax House presents our business with the high-end, modern office accommodation and facilities that we require for the ongoing growth of the business.
“This move will not only facilitate and inspire our employees to even greater success but will also work for our clients and industry groups, as a considerable portion of the office will be dedicated to multi-functional event space."
He added: “We see long term potential and further growth opportunities in Northern Ireland, which continues to produce a huge pool of talent, providing both local companies and global operators with the talent they need to develop their businesses.”
Similar to other city centre grade A refurbs such as Linen Loft and Lincoln House, Flax House has been sensitively renovated to provide high-spec offices while maintaining many of the traditional aspects of the original build.
Key features include a glazed atrium which has been integrated with the existing fabric to provide a striking foyer and communal meeting space.
CBRE acted on behalf of MCS Group acquiring the space while Colliers acted on behalf of landlord Straidorn Properties.
David Wright, director at CBRE, said: “Companies are seeking more efficient and modern accommodation that is conducive to attracting and retaining a talented workforce, and refurbishment projects continue to be vital in delivering supply into the market.
"Flax House will provide the perfect base for MCS Group as they seek to continue their impressive growth story.”
