EUROPEAN law firm Fieldfisher is expanding its Belfast footprint by taking an additional 3,000 square foot of office space in the city's iconic Titanic Quarter.

It plans to double the size of its legal solutions hub at Channel Wharf, and will recruit a further 38 roles to its specialist team to support Fieldfisher's international offices.

The firm announced in August 2018 that it intends creating 125 legal and business support jobs over the next three years, paying an average wage in the mid £20,000 range and generating more than £3.6 million in annual salaries.

Fieldfisher has signed a lease with the building's landlords, Robinson Family Ltd, for an additional 3,000 foot of office space, on top of the existing 3,000 foot already occupied across two floors.

Its Belfast hub - which has already grown to a staff of 40 - provides legal support for the firm's 25 offices in the UK, Europe, China and California.

The firm has had a presence in Belfast since 2017, when it merged with Donaldson Legal Consulting in Holywood, which currently employs 28 people.

Belfast office head Lisa Algie said: "Thanks to the continued hard work and collective efforts of Fieldfisher's Belfast hub team, we are now in a position to take over additional office space.

"This will allow us to grow the team further as we continue to expand our skill set and increase the level of support we provide to Fieldfisher business units across multiple offices."
