SOFTWARE firm EventMAP is creating 20 highly-skilled jobs in Belfast in a £1.6 million government-backed investment to aid its ambitious growth strategy.
The Queen’s University and University of Nottingham spin-out develops products and services that optimise timetabling and resource management for companies to realise significant annual financial savings.
Its cloud-based platform OPTIME, initially developed with £85,000 of Invest NI support for R&D, is currently used across a variety of sectors, with clients including Airbus, BAE Systems, C4, Kings College Hospital, Metropolitan Police London, Cambridge University and Stranmillis University College.
Invest NI has offered the company technical assistance, skills development and support for R&D, over several years.
It is also providing £140,000 of support towards the creating the 20 jobs, which in turn will offer a £700,000 a year boost to the economy in salaries.
Recruitment has already started for roles in programming and a range of managerial posts across quality processes, marketing, R&D development and digital marketing.
