Wirefox will open a luxury 27-bed hotel in East Lothian in the summer called The Leddie

Holywood-based private investment company Wirefox is planning a summer opening for The Leddie – a boutique retreat nestled in the heart of Aberlady in East Lothian, the epicentre of Scotland’s famous golf coast.

The former Ducks Inn was acquired by Wirefox, via its Marram hotels business, in September 2023 and since then, an extensive refurbishment and design project has been ongoing.

The luxury 27-bed hotel, bar and 70-cover restaurant is seen as complementing East Lothian’s enviable food and drink scene.

The design has been developed in collaboration between Wirefox’s in-house design team and Studio Terry, incorporating inspirations from the local surroundings and Scotland itself. The distinctive interiors create an escapist and cosy space that both celebrates and transcends the area’s rich history.

Founded in 2014, Wirefox acquired one of the north’s best loved hotels, The Bushmills Inn, through its Marram Hotels business in May 2022 before in October that year acquiring The Ardgowan Hotel in St Andrews, expanding its leisure portfolio to Scotland.
