THE funeral is due to take place tomorrow of a west Belfast woman who died while on holiday in Turkey.

Family and friends of Séaneen McCullough, from the New Barnsley area, will gather to say farewell to the mother-of-one, described as a "lovely girl with the most infectious laugh".

The 37-year-old, who had been on holiday with her partner and son, is believed to have fallen from a hotel balcony. The Mater Hospital nurse passed away in the early hours of July 11.

Her tragic death has left the local community shocked and devastated with friends and patients among those to pay tribute to her, with many describing her as an "amazing nurse".

Trade union Unison, of which Ms McCullough was a member, said: "Séaneen was a very out-going and fun-loving person and a great friend to many.

"Séaneen was a nurse in Ward C in the Mater Hospital and a valued member of the staff team."

An online campaign set up to raise funds to help her family has raised more than £8,000.

Colleen Catney, who set up the page following her friend's tragic death, last week said Ms McCullough was someone who was "bubbly all her life and had an infectious personalty".

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church on Saturday at 10am then afterwards to Roselawn Crematorium for a service at noon.
