Searches for the remains of Co Tyrone teenager Arlene Arkinson, who was last seen 30 years ago, have ended without success.
Gardaí began the operation in Donegal last Tuesday at Ballybobaneen Forest in Glenfin.
However, this afternoon they confirmed that those searches have now concluded.
It comes shortly after the 30th anniversary of the disappearance of the 15-year-old from Castlederg, Co Tyrone, in August 1994 after a night out in Bundoran.
She was last seen in a car driven by convicted murderer and rapist Robert Howard.
In July 2021, an inquest found she was murdered by Howard, who died in 2015.
He had previously been charged with her murder in 2002 but acquitted in 2005.
Numerous searches have been carried out over the years, but Arlene’s body has never been found.
Last month, the Stormont Justice Minister Naomi Long was urged to reconsider a decision not to call a public inquiry into the case of the missing Castlederg girl.
However, Ms Long said she took the decision not to call a public inquiry into the case after concluding there were not sufficient grounds.
