ULSTER Schools brought off a superb double at Milltown Golf Club in Dublin as St Ronan's College, Lurgan won the Irish Senior Cup and Rathmore Grammar collected the Junior Cup.

For Irish international Niamh McSherry, it was also a notable occasion as she won her fourth Schools' Cup medal, this time partnered by her international colleague Annabel Wilson. This pair of talented teenagers kept the trophy in their Lurgan school for the fourth year in-a-row.

Wilson also won the Mary Nolan Trophy for the Best Gross score. McSherry and Wilson returned 33 and 34 gross points, which left them 17 points ahead of their nearest rivals from Ursuline College in Sligo. The pair also teamed up with school-mate Eadoin Ward, who carded 18 points.

Rathmore Grammar, represented by Ciara Brennan and Olivia McCrystal, clinched the Junior Cup with seven points to spare over Gorey Community School. Brennan posted a round of 23 gross points, while McCrystal carded 14 points.
