Jawbox Gin wins another industry award

NORTHERN Ireland-made Jawbox Small Batch Gin has been recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony in London.

Jawbox was named the winner of the Quality Drinks Award 2018 Best Gin at the Quality Food & Drink Awards last week.

The awards, judged by a panel selected from 400 industry experts, recognise and reward the best in retail, wholesale and foodservice food and drink products available in the United Kingdom.

Gerry White, founder of Jawbox said he was "absolutely delighted" to pick up the latest award.

"It’s fantastic for the brand and a huge pat on the back for the whole team. Jawbox is only what it is today thanks to the passion and enthusiasm of the people behind the gin, including the talented team at Drinksology who designed the bottle and the dedicated team at our distillery.”

Jawbox Small Batch Gin is a classic London Dry Gin, launched in early 2016.

It is distilled in County Down, Northern Ireland at the Jawbox Distillery where the grain is grown in fields around the distillery in Kircubbin, located in the Ards Peninsula. Jawbox is triple distilled in a traditional copper pot, with eight of the eleven botanicals infused in the spirit.

The final three botanicals are put through the vapour extraction method to preserve their delicate flavour and aroma.

Local heather from Black Mountain, which overlooks the city of Belfast, is amongst its distinctive blend of botanicals.

Two new Jawbox Gin Liqueurs joined Jawbox Small Batch Gin Jawbox in 2018 – Jawbox Pineapple & Ginger and Jawbox Rhubarb and Ginger.
