CastleCourt's car park was also forced to closed last Thursday, with cars unable to enter or exit.

EARLY morning commuters have been shut out of CastleCourt car park in Belfast city centre for the second time over technical problems.

Last Thursday morning, there was gridlock around the site as drivers were unable to get in or out of the car park while the issue was addressed.

Just after 7am on Friday, a message from the shopping centre confirmed the car park was closed again due to a power outage.

“Technicians are on site working as quickly as possible to resolve the problem,” they said.

“We apologise for this inconvenience and hope to be up and running soon.”
