A TALL ship, a Canadian comedian, folk music and a bake-off are just some of the attractions at this weekend’s Sea Bangor Maritime Festival in Co Down. The festival will be staged in a tented village on Bangor’s seafront on Saturday and Sunday, with food stalls, live music, celebrity chefs, street theatre and children’s events all on the menu.
Tall ship The Morgenster and the British naval vessel HMS Ramsey will both be moored at the Eisenhower pier and open to the public.
The Open House Festival have programmed a series of events at 'The Shanty Shack’ at Quay Street Car Park, with comedy comperes Nuala McKeever and George Firehorse joined by acts including Canadian comic Tony Law, folk bands Lonesome George and Cup O’Joe, bluegrass act No Oil Paintings and cabaret juggler and street performer Grant Goldie.
Other attractions will include The Great Bangor Bake-Off and a children’s theatre production from Cahoots NI called Dr Marlin and his Wild West Illusion Show.
