Peter Hook & The Light perform Substance by Joy Division and New Order, December 2, The Limelight, Belfast
FORMER New Order and Joy Division bass wrangler Peter Hook continues his mammoth live trawl through the back-catalogue of both bands by bringing their identically titled singles compilations to life at three dates in Ireland.
Hooky and The Light's visits to Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick (November 30), The Academy in Dublin (December 1) and The Limelight in Belfast (December 2) are part of a world tour which kicked off last September.
Before they hit Ireland, The Light will spend most of this year performing Substance shows throughout Europe as well as visiting Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
As the show will be heavily centred on singles with a few choice b-sides and 'bonus' songs sprinkled in throughout, these are the gigs to see if you're the sort of casual fan of Joy Division and New Order who wasn't so fussed on experiencing the full album sets Hooky and co were banging out on their last couple of visits.
