THE fifth annual NI Science Festival bring the best of local and international Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to the north next month.
Running over 11 days from Thursday February 14 to Sunday February 24, NI Science Festival 2019 promises more than 200 events across 50 venues, featuring some of the best scientists from the north and beyond discussing their work, cutting-edge research and what the future might hold.
During the day, the Festival offers a range of workshops, talks and interactive activities for young people, parents and schools. In the evening it will present an eclectic mix of scientific debate, talks, theatres, comedy, music and film for adults.
'Early bird' events now on sale include Professor Brian Cox's Universal (February 15, SSE Arena), Drowning in Plastic with Liz Bonnin (February 24, Whitla Hall), Evil: The Science Behind Humanity's Dark Side with Julia Shaw (February 14, Crumlin Road Gaol) and Everest Lab with Greg Foot (February 24, Ulster Museum).
