COMEDIAN Nuala McKeever will be offering a masterclass in Belfast on 'how to let your natural creativity flow' later this month.
Fresh from a successful trial run at Bangor's Open House Festival, How To Be A Tube! will run at the Lyric Theatre from September 18 to 22. The blurb for the show describes it as a 'lively session' in which the popular performer will 'draw on her own experience of unlearning' to advise frustrated creative types on how to 'find out what’s in the way of you being your real self: creative, alive, enthusiastic about life'.
"This is a new departure for me," explains McKeever.
"I've toured my one woman play In The Window very successfully from here to the US and to India. I'm still touring my sell-out stand up show Letting Go or Losing It?. This new evening is even more pared down – it's not stand-up, but it is funny.
"I've called it an 'entertaining masterclass'. It's looking at why we behave the way we do, what gets in the way of us having a very self-expressed life and how in my own life, I have gone through a long process of shedding skins as it were, to become more fully myself.
"And it's funny!"
