ON THE face of it, Belfast Film Festival's special screening of the Bruce Lee classic Enter The Dragon at Irish kickboxing legend Billy Murray's ProKick Gym seems like a missed opportunity.
Surely they should have given Van Damme VHS favourite Kickboxer an airing there instead?
However, then you remember that while Kickboxer is actually crap (sorry, JCVD), it's been scientifically proven that you can never see Enter The Dragon too many times – especially if you grew up watching the heavily edited UK video version with all the cool nunchukka bits sliced out.
Tomorrow night's return to Han's Island is part of the Festival's September-long season of site-specific screenings, which also includes musical favourite Pitch Perfect at the Grand Opera House in Belfast (Sunday September 4, including performances by three local choirs beforehand), ITV series The Frankenstein Chronicles (September 10) at key filming location Campbell College, 1916's landmark silent film The Battle of The Somme (September 15) as a large-scale projection in St Anne's Cathedral, horror classic The Wicker Man at The Giant's Ring (September 17) and sci-fi faves Aliens and The Matrix at T13 Skatepark (September 24 and 25).
