HAVING just performed at Belfast's Ulster Hall last month, The Waterboys have now announced what is being billed as their 'biggest ever Belfast headline show' for next year.
The Mike Scott-led group, who play Kilarney's INEC Arena tonight, will perform at Custom House Square on Sunday August 18.

The band have also announced a show at the Galway Summer Sessions festival which will take place at Galway Airport on August 19.
The Waterboys, whose best-known songs include The Whole Of The Moon, How Long Will I Love You, This Is The Sea and Fisherman's Blues, have been fronted by the Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist since the mid-1980s and have evolved through countless line-ups.
The 2024 version of The Waterboys features double keyboard players Brother Paul from Memphis and James Hallawell from London, plus Irish rhythm section Aongus Ralston (bass) and Eamon Ferris (drums), who reconfigure music from all stages of the band's career - from the early 'big music' and the roots-inspired Fisherman's Blues era, to more recent genre-fluid records such as 2015's Modern Blues and last year's All Souls Hill.
