A NEW leisure facility for Lisburn is bringing 32 jobs to the area in a £2.5 million investment supported by Ulster Bank.
Lisburn Bowl includes an 18-lane bowling alley, games area and food and drink facility at its site at Lisburn Leisure Park just outside the city centre.
Joe Tumelty of Lisburn Bowl Limited said the new attraction would be an "excellent complement" to the park's existing tenants.
"Lisburn Leisure Park is one of the Northern Ireland’s most popular leisure facilities and an 18-lane bowling alley will add another important dimension to the offering and attract even more visitors," he said.
"We have been working on the project for three years and would like to thank Ulster Bank for their support and Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for their cooperation, particularly the corporate and leisure services departments and a number of councillors who helped the project."
Ulster Bank relationship director, Gordon Davidson, said that the bank was pleased to support the investment in the hospitality and leisure sector in the area.
"Ulster Bank has £1.5 billion to lend to businesses this year and is pleased to play an important role in helping local entrepreneurs to invest in Lisburn, create jobs, and contribute to the development of the leisure offering in the area," said.
Work finally began on the project last December following a delay of several years and after the first sod was cut in 2012.
