LURGAN haulage firm Sawyers Transport which was bought over by a US group earlier this week has posted increased turnover of £69.4m.
The figures, which cover the 12 months to January 31 2015, are up from £64.7m the previous year.
Profits before tax rose to £1.2m from £730,000 in 2014.
The family run firm was acquired by American company AGRO Merchants Group, based in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this week.
It specialises in the transportation of chilled produce across Ireland, Britain and Europe.
In the directors' strategic report filed with their accounts at Companies House in Belfast, they described the results as "satisfactory".
Although no final dividend was recommended, the company had made an interim payment of £150,000.
The company brought forward £4.3m in profit and retained £5.3m to carry forward into the next financial year.
The results showed the bulk of Sawyers' work is in the UK - where it turned over £63.5m compared to the rest of Europe which accounted for sales of £5.6m.
Staff numbers increased over the year to 108 from 93 resulting in a wage bill of £3.2m.
Sawyers was set up in 1970 and began by delivering meal across the north before moving into the chilled sector in the 1980s.
Headquartered in Lurgan, Co Armagh, the company has operations in Moy, Ballygawley, both Co Tyrone, and Swords, Co Dublin.
Subsidiaries and joint ventures include Woolsey Freight Limited, Sawyers Distribution Limited, Ballykeel Freight Limited, Sawyers Logistics Limited, Annesborough Cold Storage Limited, Sawyers Transport Ireland Limited and Browne Logistics Ireland Limited.
The group has expanded over the past 15 years to offer freight forwarding, warehousing, cold storage and value added services such as automated crate washing and order picking.
