POPULAR nightclub El Divino, which brought the beat of Ibiza into the heart of Belfast for four years, is up for sale.
The award-winning club on the banks of the River Lagan has been placed on the commercial property market after undergoing a £1 million refurbishment.
Originated from the Ibiza-style night club in the harbour front in Ibiza Old Town, El Divino has grown in stature to become of Belfast's leading nightclubs, hosting local and internationally renowned DJs including Pete Tong, Benny Benassi and Roger Sanchez.
In turn, it attracted high profile visitors to its VIP Green Room, among them world number one golfer, Rory McIlroy.
Stretching over three floors, the club boasts balconies looking over the River Lagan and broader views across the city.
It is on the market for £1.75 million - a price tag which includes building, license, business, fixture and fittings as well as the franchisee rights for Ireland.
Commercial property company CBRE in Belfast have been appointed selling agents for the freehold interest owned by Paul Langsford, who runs a string of venues across the city, including the Albany and Filthy McNasty's.
Commenting on the sale, CBRE managing director Brian Lavery believes the sale will attract both local and international interest, given the re-emerging hospitality sector.
"The popularity, stature, size and unique location of El Divino make this one of the most important sales in recent years within Belfast’s night time economy," Mr Lavery said.
"We expect both local and international interest in this property which is well positioned to capitalise on the re-emergence and growth of hospitality and visitors to Belfast, both from within Northern Ireland and beyond."
