AN historic building in Maghera, Co Derry has been rejunevated after a £250,000 investment to convert it to solicitors offices.
Mallon-McCormick is moving to the former Station Master's House from their Main Street base.
The move is created two new jobs.
The grade B1 listed building had been empty for around 10 years before its recent purchase by the company.
The 1,900 sq ft premises have since undergone a major investment and extension and are opening as Mallon-McCormick’s new offices this month.
Managing partner Joseph Mallon said is an important step for the company.
“We saw the potential in the Station Master’s House to create a statement office near the centre of town that would provide us with a modern base for the company. We have worked closely with Ulster Bank, who have supported our investment, and we look forward to officially opening the new premises," he said.
Leona McNicholl, business development manager at Ulster Bank added: “Mallon-McCormick is a well-established firm in the town and we are very pleased to help them to invest in new premises to expand their team. This will not only support an excellent local company, it will also bring back into use an important and historic building in the town.”
Mallon-McCormick Solicitors has operated in Maghera for more than 40 years and currently employs seven people.
