TANDRAGEE cereal producer White's Oats is celebrating 175 years in business.
The oat miller and producer has been making porridge oats and oat cereals since 1841 at the same site .
Over that time, it seen many changes in the growing and harvesting of oats with larger machinery and new methods of working.
The company's general manager James Mathers said he was "immensely proud of our rich heritage and quality from farm to bowl".
"We very much look forward to celebrating our 175th anniversary with a special birthday party coinciding with this year’s harvest," he said.
Lord mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, councillor Darryn Causby added: "We’re fortunate to have such calibre of companies on our doorstep. White’s Oats is the largest oat miller on the island and its longevity is testimony to the quality of its products and the wider agri-food sector in the borough.
“The borough is the Food Heartland of Northern Ireland, home to an incredible mix of artisan producers and internationally acclaimed brands. As part of the Food Heartland campaign we are encouraging the sector to grow further with initiatives such as an export programme for small producers and marketing support to promote all that the area has to offer.”
