A PORTADOWN-based start-up company with the memorable jingle 'My Car Needs A.Com' is to partner with Halfords Autocentres in a two-year deal designed to "give power back to customers".

The partnership brings together drivers who want an MOT service or specific repairs for their vehicle with Halford's garage network which has over 300 sites across the UK.

Users of the Belfast car servicing website receive tailor-made quotes and can leave feedback on providers to rate the work and help other drivers find the right service.

Managing director of MyCarNeedsA.com Scott Hamilton said: "We’re bringing the aggregator website to the motoring sector and giving power back to consumers.

"We’re delighted to be working with Halfords Autocentres and look forward to offering our users the choice of 300 sites.

"We have worked really hard over the past 18 months to assess and sign up a range of high quality service providers across Britain and Northern Ireland. All are continually reviewed by us and rated by our customers, so they are all under the spotlight, which is great for our users."

Mr Hamilton added that his company only partnered with "trusted, quality providers" - and by teaming up with Halfords Autocentres, users would benefit from increased choice.

Stefan Warhaftig, commerical director for Halfords Autocentres, said the new partnership would give more drivers increased "peace of mind".

"We know that drivers are looking for reassurance and peace of mind and we’re proud to offer both as the UK’s leading car service specialist," he said.

"This partnership gives us access to new customers and helps elevate quality standards across the industry, which can only be a good thing for drivers."
