CONNECT Telecom, which has grown its number of customers and connections by more than 50 per cent in the last year, has become one of the first Vodafone partners in the UK - and the first in Northern Ireland - authorised to instal One Net Business.

The company is also authorised to instal the technology having worked with Vodafone to introduce new skills to their business.

It will enable Connect Telecom to provide an enhanced service to customers, establishing the specialist as a single point of contact for sales, installation, account management and aftersales support for Vodafone business solutions.

Connect Telecom head Scott Ritchie, who acquired the business last year following a multi-million-pound investment, said: “The Vodafone One Net solution enables businesses to create a more productive and flexible communications infrastructure that can advance how they do business, engage with their customers and keep staff confidently connected wherever they are working.

"It’s an entirely flexible solution that can be tailored to the customer’s specific requirements.

“Being authorised to instal One Net Business, we now offer a one-stop-shop for new and existing business customers on the Vodafone network across fixed lines, mobiles or broadband. So now being able to deliver our own installations, we can manage the entire process in-house on behalf of our clients."

He added: “Ultimately it provides us with greater control over the customer account to make sure everything is running smoothly for the customer, meaning they spend less time worrying about their IT and telecoms systems and more time focusing on running their business.

One local business to have benefitted from Connect Telecom’s expanded service offering is Belfast-based AJ Hurst, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of electrical, lighting, communication and power system equipment.

Its sales director Mark Goldsbrough said: “After moving premises several years ago, our telecoms systems, which were through another provider, were no longer fit for purpose.

“With no option to transfer desk phone calls to mobiles, or voice-mail functionality, connecting customers with engineers, who are frequently off site, was extremely difficult and made the process a lot longer than it should have been.

“We engaged with the team at Connect Telecom and were really impressed so made the switch to Vodafone for our broadband and all mobiles and fixed lines. The process only took one day and was seamless with not even one call missed.”
