BELLAGHY commercial electrical contractor Premier Electrics has a pipeline of projects worth £30 million, it has said.
The company, which also revealed pre-tax profits of £2.5m on £50m turnover, has secured the contracts for work across Ireland, Britain and Europe.
But the firm said the financial performance was hampered by a "significant exceptional loss" due to closing out a number of foreign exchange contracts.
The company provides work for around 150 people and has been in business for 22 years working primarily in the retail and office sectors.
Managing director Tony Shivers had now, "become a truly European business, delivering more than 1,000 projects in the last 22 years across countries including UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Romania, the Netherlands, Austria and Belgium.”
Mr Shivers said the company's performance was boosted by construction activity in London and Dublin.
“Our experience has been that major retailers are continuing to press on with refurbishment and new build plans despite the general uncertainty around the implications of Brexit," he said.
“We have recently completed several major projects including one at Buttermarket Shopping Centre, Ipswich and more than 10 stores for H&M. In recent weeks we have secured a number of large electrical fit-outs including a department store for Fenwicks in Bracknell and a number of other significant retail projects in Northern Ireland, Britain and Europe.
“Whilst the broad construction environment has been challenging in the past few years, and 2016 has brought for us its own specific issues with foreign exchange volatility, our strong order book and excellent team give me confidence for 2017 and beyond.”
Premier Electrics delivers electrical fit-out and maintenance projects for clients in the retail, leisure, industrial and commercial sectors.
Its client base comprises a host of household brands including Primark, Asda, Audi, Debenhams, H&M, Heatons, Sports Direct, John Lewis and M&S
