THE four-star Killyhevlin Hotel in Co Fermanagh has just completed a new £1.4m investment in 14 lakeside lodges ahead of the tourism season.
The Enniskillen hotel, located on the banks of Lough Erne has confirmed the new lodges, which have been constructed in under five months by Limavady company Fasthouse.
The signature closed panel timber frames were assembled offsite reducing completion times by up to 70 per cent to ensure minimal waste and maximum efficiency.
Leigh Watson from the Killyhevlin Hotel said the new investment can go some way to addressing the increasing demand for self-catering accommodation.
“Considerable planning and meticulous design work has gone into the creation of our state of the art lodges, which will provide a major boost to the local tourism sector," she said.
John Kelly from FastHouse said the lodges are a "one-of-a-kind" building.
"Our process not only brings the benefit of speed; as buildings are largely constructed in a controlled factory environment, the process facilitates improved health & safety standards, reduced waste and better quality. This method of construction is providing an innovative solution for an increasing range of customers," he added.
