Finn Lough Resort in Fermanagh has opened the latest phase of its development which includes delivering the new forest spa, restaurant and bar, upgraded hotel suites and iconic Bubble Domes spa.
Invest NI has offered £165,000 to support the resort with developing its spa, Bubble Domes, recruiting a new estate manager as well as training and marketing initiatives.
The 100 acre retreat on Lough Erne, set up in 2014, is focused on the “eco-luxury market” targeting couples and adult groups across UK, Continental Europe and USA.
It has been ranked as number three in the ' 20 Coolest Hotels in Ireland' by the Sunday Times and as number five in the Top Travel destinations 2016 by Condenast Traveller.
Company director Michael Beare said: “Finn Lough Resort has been designed to offer a place where guests can disconnect from the everyday noise in their lives and reconnect with the simple pleasures of nature.
“The driving force for this development was a desire to offer something different for the discerning traveller and Invest NI’s assistance has enabled us to create a unique product and maximise our competitive advantage in the UK and European markets.
“We used an Innovation Voucher to refine the temperature control in our Bubble Domes while participation on Invest NI’s design programme helped us establish the strategic vision for the resort while the help and advice we received with market research and future energy efficiency decisions was extremely valuable.”
