BELFAST Harbour has appointed property agent CBRE to provide management services for the city's newest film studio located at Giant’s Park.

The £20 million studio project, built on an eight-acre site, comprises 125,000 sq ft of studios, accompanying workshops and production offices.

The agency will work closely alongside Belfast Harbour to provide best in class management service with an occupier focus.

CBRE director Gerard McCann said: "We currently have more than 5.5 million sq ft of assets under management locally and it's exciting to be appointed to play our part in this exciting growth industry in Belfast.

"Alongside the traditional property and facilities management services the studios will have a unique set of requirements which we look forward to overseeing.”

CBRE globally provides property and facilities management services to clients with diverse and unique property assets such as Belfast Harbour’s City Quays offices, football stadiums, museums, galleries and universities.

He added: “Our team is excited to work on an asset which will play a key role in continuing Northern Ireland’s strong track record in film and TV production.

"The studios will have their own set of unique requirements and our role is to ensure the building is ready to meet the exacting and bespoke requirements of any TV or film production company using the state of the art studios and production facilities.”

Graeme Johnston, property director at Belfast Harbour, said: “These are the most modern studios in Europe, designed in liaison with NI Screen and potential customers to meet the needs of global tenants.

"We have received positive feedback from the industry and are actively pursuing a number of leads. Production companies operate to exacting standards and CBRE will bring a wide range of skills to its role managing the facility.”
