KILREA ice cream company Mullins has launched a new takeaway parlour in the centre of Ireland's only theme park and zoo, Tayto Park.
As part of the company's all-island growth plans and ahead of the park's reopening later this month, Mullins has launched its first outlet in the Republic. The new takeaway ice cream parlour will serve 18 flavours of Mullins' homemade scoop ice cream along with a toppings bar and takeaway coffee.
Mullins products are also now available throughout other locations in Tayto Park, including the sit-in ‘Scoops and Sprinkles’ area, which specialises in luxurious sundaes made with Mullins ice cream.
Mullins sales manager, Peter Lynn said partnership with Tayto Park is a "significant development" in the growth of the brand in Ireland.
“Having presence within Tayto Park will give us access to approximately 850,000 visitors in 2018 – a huge opportunity to showcase our product. Mullins is a much-loved vibrant brand, which combines years of expertise in making quality ice cream with innovative new flavours and toppings. We believe our offering will appeal perfectly to Tayto Park’s wide range of visitors and that the partnership will prove to be extremely valuable in supporting the growth of our business," he said.
Shane Swan of Tayto Park added:
"Our goal is to ensure visitors to Tayto Park have the best time possible and we believe that Mullins’ fantastic ice cream parlour, delicious ice creams and indulgent sundaes will really enhance the customer experience."
One of Northern Ireland’s most popular homemade ice cream brands, Mullins is part of the Dale Farm family.
