EMMY nominated and BAFTA winning animation company Sixteen South are teaming up with global publisher Wonderbly to develop the best-selling 'Lost my name' books into a new animated series.
Together they will create a series aimed at pre-school children, taking the challenges that young people face growing up and turning them into life-changing adventures.
The partnership is part of a long-term publishing strategy aimed at developing the Lost my name world. Wonderbly and Sixteen South will pitch the show to broadcasters later this summer.
Founder of Walker productions and former managing director of Walker books Helen McAleer, has been appointed by Wonderbly as producer of the new series. She will work alongside Wonderbly co-founders and creators of the book series, David Cadji-Newby and Pedro Serapicos.
The 'lost my name' books are personalised, with each one unique to the child that receives it. Since the launch of the book over 3.5 million personalised stories have been sent around the world.
Colin Williams, creative director of sixteen south studios said:

"We were looking for a while for the right creative partner to embark on this new adventure and Sixteen South's heartfelt and exuberant approach to children's animation, coupled with remarkable attention to detail is exactly what we were looking for. We are immensely excited to work with Colin Williams and his incredibly talented team," co-founder and CEO of Wonderbly, Aso Sharabi commented.
