VIRGIN Media has announced it is expanding is ultrafast broadband network to over 6,000 homes and businesses in Ballyclare and Portadown
As part of its ‘Project Lightning’ network expansion programme, Virgin Media is bringing speeds of up to 350Mbps for 5,000 residents and small businesses in Ballyclare and 1,200 in Portadown..
The expansion will help transform the quality of broadband in both towns, offering over 15 times the current speed. available. Work is underway in Ballyclare and expected to be complete by the end of 2019, while in Portadown it is expected to begin in the coming weeks and finished by the end of this year.
Speaking about the Ballyclare expansion, Conor Harrison, regional director at Virgin Media, said: “Giving them greater speeds will enable them to do the things they need to do and love doing more quickly and more easily.”
