ONE of the north’s most popular dairy brands is bringing a touch of Greece to Tesco stores this summer as it introduces a brand new range.

The three-strong range from Clandeboye Estate, hand-crafted with the milk from its pedigree herds of Holstein and Jersey cows, infuses some of this year's most popular fruit-flavours with its award-winning Greek-style yoghurt to create the perfect healthy treat and isn’t currently available in any other multiple.

Available in 12 stores, in three flavours – mandarin & lime, white chocolate & raspberry and mango & nectarine – the range responds to consumer demand for indulgent dairy products.

Bryan Boggs of Clandeboye Estate said: “The product responds to a desire among consumers for a more indulgent local yoghurt product, and combines an already award-winning product with a range of on-trend flavour combinations to create something really special.

"We know our products are popular with Tesco shoppers and this latest range listing will increase our sales volumes by between 5-10 per cent as we branch into the indulgent flavoured Greek-style yoghurt market.”

Jonathan McWhinney, buyer at Tesco NI, added: “Flavoured yoghurts are the top performing dairy category among Northern Ireland consumers ahead of products such as plain yoghurts, fromage frais, and layered yoghurts.

"People understand the health benefits of yoghurt – it packs a protein punch, is full of good fats and calcium as well as helping to maintain a healthy gut thanks to the natural probiotics – yet still want to get that sense of indulgence that comes with treating yourself – and this is the perfect product to achieve that feeling.

“The Clandeboye brand is synonymous with quality and we are excited to stock these exciting new flavours and give Tesco customers what they’re looking for this summer.”
