FAST-growth digital solutions company Neueda plans to double its payroll by creating 230 jobs in Belfast in a £20 million investment - the biggest in Northern Ireland since lockdown.
Recruitment has already begun for the jobs, which are a mix of software engineers, digital transformation professionals, cloud solution experts and sales staff.
And when the posts are all in place, it will contribute more than £10 million a year in salaries.
Founded in Belfast in 2006, and with a current office footprint extending to Dublin, London, Malaga and New York, Neueda has become an established player in the digital transformation market, providing services to the private sector, public sector and capital markets across the globe.
The company - which moved into new premises at Lanyon Place last year (though its staff are mostly now home-working) - has enjoyed significant year-on-year revenue growth, and it has been a regular inclusion on the respected Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list.
Economy Minister Diane Dodds described Neueda as “a company to be proud of” and said its expansion sends out an unequivocal message that Northern Ireland is open for business.
She added: “The jobs will be created in a sector which our economic recovery plan has identified as one where Northern Ireland can lead.
“The digital sector currently underpins many other sectors and has the potential to grow rapidly providing more and better paid jobs.”
Neueda chief operating officer Paddy O’Hagan said: “We continue to be impressed by our local talent, and as we expand our Belfast team we are keen to showcase Neueda’s expertise to the world and enhance and expand our portfolio of products and services.
“Our vision is to significantly grow our customer base outside Northern Ireland, and this investment will give us the resources we need to achieve this ambitious growth strategy.
“We hope to drive sales in the US, GB, mainland Europe and eventually into Asian markets where we see an abundance of opportunities for our services.”
Neueda is a long-standing client company of Invest NI, which has offered £2.2 million towards the job creation.
The agency's chief executive Kevin Holland said: “With a first class management team and clear vision for the future, Neueda is an excellent example of how a local company with the drive, strategy and ambition to grow, can become a well-known leader in its field.
“We first began working with the company in 2012 when it employed just nine people, and this expansion will take its employment to over 450.
“Its success is a great example of what this targeted support can help a company achieve – turning a once SME into a large-scale home-grown business.”
