HOME textiles company Ulster Weavers has launched a new range of sustainable Irish linen face coverings as it responds to increasing demand for locally sourced products.
The range, handmade in Northern Ireland, has been developed by the Lisburn-based business as it adapts its manufacturing to capitalise on market opportunities for high-quality sustainable alternatives.
The face coverings feature adjustable toggles on the ear loops and have been designed to allow wearers to insert a disposable filter for added protection against harmful bacteria.
Available to both consumers and trade, the range (details at shop.ulsterweavers.com) can be customised to feature embroidered or screen-printed branding for corporate orders.
Among those to have placed a significant corporate order is STATSports in Newry, which as grown to be the world-leading provider of GPS player tracking and analysis equipment.
Gillian McLean, managing director at Ulster Weavers, says: “We anticipate significant interest from the corporate sector and are pleased to have secured a large order from STATSports.
“We pride ourselves on our ability to work closely with customers, designing products tailored to their specific needs and requirements.
“Breathability and comfort are essential attributes in all face coverings and weigh heavily on the consumer’s purchase decision. But we also understand that consumers are seeking fashionable alternatives to the face coverings currently available on the market..”
