THE post of "super-yacht and expedition vessels business development manager" is one of 14 roles which has become available at Antrim-based Mivan.

It comes as the specialist interior fit out and joinery company sees a spike in its order book for projects in both land and marine sectors.

Mivan - whose sales and profits in 2019 rose to £36.6m and £4.3m respectively - are also wanting to hire a contracts director, BIM manager, M&E manager and two senior estimators and senior project managers, as well as six new apprentice joiners.

The areas which are seeing significant increases are the high-end residential, luxury hotel and commercial sectors, particularly in Central London, and Mivan’s marine division, delivering work for major cruise line corporations and superyacht builders across the world.

With the impact of the global pandemic in March, Mivan took strategic action to diversify its product and service offering with the launch of a modular solutions division, operating from a 110,000 sq ft factory near Belfast.

Mivan chief executive John Cunningham said: “Despite the challenges of the past 12 months, we are able to announce these additions to our team on the back of a healthy and growing order book.

“As well as a number of senior positions within the company, we will be building on our Navigate apprenticeship programme and look forward to welcoming some new apprentices through our training pathway in September. ”

He added: “The growth of the company is testament to the hard work of our team, our strong brand name and the exceptional quality of our work. On the back of that strong growth, we have continued to build our brand awareness with a refresh of our logo and website which launched in November.”

Mivan is one of the north’s best-known fit out businesses, working on commercial, hotel and residential projects across the UK and Ireland, as well as outfitting in the luxury marine sector across the world.

Recent projects include 20 Grosvenor Square, Chelsea Barracks and Freedom of the Seas with work recently commencing on The Broadway Development in London.
