TECH firm SITA, which provides IT services to the air transport industry, has announced 55 jobs in Letterkenny.
The new roles are being created within the firm’s Agile DevOps division, with new software engineers, test engineers and UX designers among those being recruited.
Sita set up its Letterkenny hub in 2003, expanding the team from 20 people to more than 100.
It specialises in designing and creating software solutions for various areas of the air transport industry.
The IT firm said the announcement comes as the air transport industry begins its slow recovery from Covid-19.
SITA said airports, airlines and governments will be looking to further streamline their operations and passenger journey through automation and digitisation.
“To meet this growing demand, SITA is accelerating the innovation and development of new solutions across baggage management, airport operations, passenger processing and border management. These solutions are used in more than 1,000 airports and more than 60 governments globally.”
