INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed drama school Rose Bruford College has set up set up in Belfast.
The college is running its foundation course from Andras Lofts on Great Victoria Street.
The flexible work space is part of the growing portfolio of hospitality and property group Andras House, headed by well-known Belfast business figure Rajesh Rana.
Niamh Dowling, head of school of performance at Rose Bruford College, said: “We see Belfast as an integral location due to the strength of the local film industry and the extensive pool of talented actors, directors and TV and film industry in Northern Ireland.”
Mr Rana said there is a real demand for a new type of space in the city centre, which combines loft-style, post-industrial architecture with flexible tenures and services.
“The architecture in Andras Lofts is stunning, with vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls and structural columns. Our interior designer, Philip Rodgers Interiors, took a minimalist approach, slotting in new LED lighting and services without overwhelming the building aesthetic.
“The flexible terms contain options for occupiers and enhanced services that are not normally contained in a traditional lease,” he added.
