DAM Health, one of the leading new providers in the UK for Covid-19 testing, has opened its first clinic in Northern Ireland - with the promise of at least three more to follow.
The Liverpool-based company, which provides rapid in-clinic testing with 24-hour PCR results, has created 18 jobs at a new clinic at Dublin Road in Omagh.
And three other clinics will launch over the coming weeks in Belfast, Derry and Lurgan.
DAM (www.dam-health.com) operates more than 40 clinics and labs across the UK and Europe, providing a range of Covid-19 testing solutions, including its ‘Fit to Fly’ test and lateral flow antigen testing.
The company's medical director Professor Frank Joseph said opening up in Northern Ireland is “another huge step forward” for the company.
He said: “We are thrilled to be bringing DAM Health to Omagh as we continue to develop and invest in our range of services.
“With the ever-changing landscape of the pandemic and testing affecting our daily lives, we work hard to be leaders in our field.
“Our in-clinic testing remains an important choice for those wanting the extra security, safety and peace of mind from our trained clinicians conducting the tests rather than DIY kits at home. This is an integral foundation of our services.”
Since DAM Health launched its first clinic in Liverpool last November, it has expanded rapidly across the UK, with ongoing investment into its staff and clinics.
It has also launched clinics and labs in Spain with other countries in development too, including France, Portugal, Mexico and Holland.
