ANTRIM-based composites specialist Jans Group says it is on track to recruit more than 200 staff by the end of next month.
Last year, as part of a £50 million growth plan, it said it planned to hire 150 people but is currently on track to exceed that target.
Jans (https://jansgroup.co.uk/) was set up in October 2019 after Lisburn investor Peter Drayne acquired Wright Group’s mouldings and metal fabrication division out of administration.
Located in a 10,000 sq m facility in Caulside Drive, recruitment is ongoing at the group's three subsidiaries – ETRUX, Jans Lifestyle and Offsite Solutions.
Positions available, catering to apprentices and those more experienced, are for roles including project managers, engineers, joiners, CNC Programmers, production and assembly operators, auto electricians, a carpet/vinal/floor fitter and a rental co-ordinator.
Jans Group chief executive Ronan Hamill said: “When we initially set up we had just 24 employees and now we’ve surpassed our initial target and will have over 200 permanently employed staff by next month.
“It has always been our goal to give back to Antrim and the wider community and hopefully providing these jobs will go a long way to doing just that.
“Rural districts can often get left behind, which often leads to a brain drain of our talented young people but we want to give our young people opportunities to expand their careers without having to move to a bigger city or different country.”
