THE hills of Holywood Co Down are set to host the north’s first ever Cosmetic Medicine Awards this week.

Presented by radio and TV personality Vanessa Feltz and Belfast broadcaster Robin Elliott, the event will take place at the Culloden Estate on Friday night.

The brainchild of industry professional Lesley McGarrity and event manager Michelle McTernan, the CMAs will bring together a range of stakeholders across the fast-growing sector.

“Aesthetics is a rapidly thriving industry in Northern Ireland and we truly have world class clinics, practitioners, companies and products who can now be recognised and celebrated locally,” said Ms McGarrity, who is operations manager at Younique Aesthetics Clinics.

“These awards will provide an excellent networking opportunity, strengthen bonds between other clinics, build a stronger community and reinforce the importance of maintaining excellent standards and regulations for the safety of our patients.”

In a career that has involved organizing a series of awards over the past 20 years, Michelle McTernan said the CMAs are set to become a new fixture on the annual events calendar.

“We are honoured to have Croma Pharma as our headline sponsor and an esteemed panel of internationally acclaimed judges to include Prof Bob Khanna, Dalvi Humzah, Mandy Cameron and Aine Larkin, to maintain our authenticity.”

Tickets for the awards, which includes entertainment from DJ Ben Ofoedu of Phats & Small fame, are available by emailing nicosmeticmedicineawards@gmail.com.
