MARKETERS BREAKFAST

NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland will host a business breakfast specifically for marketing and communications professionals on Friday May 12 in Custom House, Belfast.

Part of the popular ‘Business Breakfast with Bank of Ireland’ series, the event is designed to help marketers operating in all sectors to discover more about how emerging trends in branding, advertising and communications can be utilised as catalysts for business growth.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from exemplars including Hilary Quinn, marketing director at Diageo Ireland, as well as Jeremy Poots and Paul Martin, joint managing partners at brand and advertising agency Mammoth.

The breakfast event will also provide delegates with the opportunity to network and learn from their peers in the profession.

:: Analytics Engines will present Big Data Belfast 2023 at the ICC Belfast on Thursday October 26.

Now in its ninth year, Big Data Belfast is supported by headline sponsor EY, and this year’s conference will present the very latest insights into the world of data, with a variety of speakers and panel sessions across a range of hot topics including AI, Generative AI, ChatGPT, digital transformation, business analytics and much more.

This is the year of AI transformation; AI-powered solutions, AI-enabled search, AI-generated content, AI Art. The global generative AI market size is expected to enjoy a market size of $110.8 billion by 2030. The growth from 2022 and 2030 is expected to be 34.3 per cent.

This year the event will aim to showcase and unravel the most relevant data and AI topics across various sectors including sustainability, transport, media, government, technology and many others.

The event will host multiple relevant themes, with a focus on using data and AI to solve some of the most challenging business, social, economic and environmental issues.

CORPORATE GAMES

:: The Mary Peters Track will once again welcome businesses from across Northern Ireland to put their teamwork skills to the test in a bid to be crowned winners of the Hughes Insurance Corporate Games 2023.

Taking place on Thursday June 8, the programme will include classic sports day events alongside competitive sporting events such as shot put, long jump and relay ensuring employees of all fitness abilities can compete.

Caragh Hamilton of the Northern Ireland women’s team will lead a warm-up to ensure attending teams are primed to perform at their best.

Businesses and organisations are invited submit teams of eight, with PwC, Alchemy, ABL, GLL and Mammoth among those already signed up to support the Trust - the only organisation in the north supporting young athletes from all recognised sports.

Lady Mary Peters said: "In this challenging funding landscape, continued creative partnership is crucial, and I look forward to meeting all the teams who sign up to support us at the event this June. As an Olympic athlete, I know first-hand the immense benefits that sports can bring to our physical and mental wellbeing, which is why we are proud to welcome the return of our Corporate Games event. This event will give the local workforce an opportunity to step outside the office and unwind as a team, whilst also offering businesses the opportunity to contribute to our support of young athletes.”
