FAMILY-owned healthcare operator Ann’s Care Homes has acquired seven nursing homes from Larchwood Care (NI) Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
And the move secures the jobs of 560 staff and care of 320 residents across the new properties, which adds to Ann’s current portfolio of 16 nursing homes across Northern Ireland.
The Larchwood Care homes purchased by Ann's are Apple Blossom Lodge Care Centre in Armagh, Culmore Manor Care Centre in Derry, Glebe Care Centre and Dunanney Care Centre in Belfast, Melmount Manor Care Centre in Strabane and Kingsland Care Centre in Bangor.
Ann McQuade, director of Ann’s Care Homes, said: “Over the last number of years, we have increased our nursing home provision across Northern Ireland, and as part of this continued growth, we are delighted to announce the acquisition of seven homes from Larchwood Care.

She added: “There will be no changes to the existing care arrangements in staffing or the team directly involved with the nursing homes, so people in the homes receiving residential and nursing care and their families can be assured of continuity of care.
