THE Frasers Group is set to open a new superstore at Boucher Retail Park.
Mike Ashley’s retail group reportedly paid £40 million for the large south Belfast shopping asset in March 2022.
It’s now set to amalgamate a number of its brands into a single Frasers anchor unit at the Boucher Crescent site.
Documents submitted to the planning portal show the block will be led by Sports Direct and Frasers’ fashion outlet, USC.
It will also include Game and Evans Cycles, which are part of Mike Ashley’s sprawling Frasers retail empire.
The block had been leased to retail brands including New Look and B&M.

It’s unclear what Frasers plans are for the current Sports Direct unit, located a short distance away at Balmoral Business Park.
Boucher Retail Park had not been on the open market when Frasers announced the acquisition last year.
Speaking after the deal was confirmed, Frasers’ head of property, James France said: "This acquisition not only bolsters our commitment to the Irish market but allows us to further invest and modernise this asset into an aspirational shopping destination.”
It has also emerged that Hotel Chocolat will also open a new retail unit at Boucher Retail Park.
Documents published on the planning portal suggest the chocolate specialist will open a store in the former Shoezone unit.
It would be just its third shop in the north and fifth on the island of Ireland.
Meanwhile, Belfast City Council has also been notified of a proposal to redevelop the former B&Q retail warehouse on Boucher Road into a new private healthcare facility.
Lidl is also advancing plans for a new Boucher Road supermarket, next to the Olympia Lesiure Centre.
