ONE of the north’s largest aesthetics clinics has opened on the Antrim Road in Belfast, creating 13 jobs.
FaceTherapy NI has been opened by registered nurse Lisa Waring and her wife Geri Duffy.
Spread over three floors, the new clinic includes seven luxury treatment rooms and a training academy.
The clinic offers non-invasive cosmetic and beauty treatments, while the academy offers training courses for healthcare professionals, and clinical workstations, which can be hired out by businesses for their own training purposes.
In her 20 year career, Lisa has worked in the Belfast Trust’s neurology department and the cardiac surgical intensive care team, before training as a specialist community nurse.
She started practising aesthetics in 2016, launching the business from her utility room at home.
“As an advanced aesthetics nurse and nurse trainer, during Covid, I moved the business online and continued to carry out consultations and industry training for other professionals and the demand for my services has enabled me to generate the funds we needed to grow the business and invest it into our stunning new clinic.”
Some seven years on, and the business has now expanded into its new premises. Creating eight jobs to date, with recruitment ongoing for another five positions.
“We have completely renovated and transformed a beautiful 14 room Victorian building into a luxurious, contemporary and relaxing clinic whilst aligning to our medical values as a high-end clinical space,” said Lisa.
“All aesthetics treatments are carried out by medical professionals and this is something that I am very passionate about.
“In our new space, we have expanded The FaceTherapy NI Academy which offers exceptional training in aesthetics medicine with a range of CPD Accredited courses.
“We have ambitious plans for our continued growth in the future so it continues to be a very exciting time for FaceTherapy NI.”
