FRENCH electropop duo Air are set to return to Ireland this summer for a very special live show celebrating their Moon Safari album.
Released in 1999, Moon Safari catapulted Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoรฎt Dunckel to international fame thanks to strange, seductive hits like Sexy Boy, Kelly Watch The Stars and All I Need, which sold millions of copies around the world.
The duo celebrated the 25th anniversary of their most enduringly popular record with a sold-out show at the Trinity Summer Series last year, and today they announced a return to Dublin this summer.
Their show at Fairview Park on June 17 is set to take place โunder canvasโ, the โbig topโ scenario ensuring that the Irish summerโs fickle weather will not prevent fans from enjoying their recreation of Moon Safariโs sublime sounds.

Having only released one EP prior to the album, few were expecting Godin and Dunckel to deliver such a perfectly realised downtempo electronic oddity - including its creators.
โWe were a duo doing some electronic thing, dreaming of selling 10,000 copies and being recognised by other musicians as cool,โ recalls Dunckel.
โThen suddenly, we met the world.โ
Moon Safari attracted famous fans including David Bowie, Madonna, Beck, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kevin Parker, Sofia Coppola and David Lynch.
Dunckel sums up the album as โa deep, universal spell, full of love and mystery.โ
Godin concludes: โTo me, Moon Safari is perfect.โ
