The Traitors star Minah Shannon has said she hopes her daughter will see her as “resilient” after her stint on the show.
In the final week of series three Minah was succesfully rooted out as a traitor during Wednesday’s roundtable.
The BBC One show sees contestants decide to banish players they do not trust, and believe are traitors. If any traitors are left at the end, they steal the prize money from the faithful players.
Minah, 30, who previously recruited Charlotte Berman as a traitor, was the third murderer to leave after Linda Rands and Armani Gouveia were banished by the faithfuls.
Reflecting on their “sisterhood”, she told the PA news agency: “I think looking at last year there was only one female.
“So let the boys take a step back and let this be the year of the girls.
“Obviously, you know, Charlotte’s now recruited Freddie (Fraser), and so it’s kind of like the opposite to last year in that sense.”
In the second series of the show male contestants Paul Gorton and Harry Clark, and female contestant Ash Bibi, were initially picked to be traitors out of the line-up, before Bibi was banished and a trio of men succeeded her.
Speaking about her daughter Luna, Minah said: “I hope she sees me as being resilient, because that’s one thing I took from this, being removed from the people I’m with day in day out was so hard, but just still showing up, still being myself.
“I hope she takes away that just being you is enough, because of the reception I’ve had, I’ve never felt more accepted and celebrated for just being myself, like my friends and family find it funny that everyone’s gone mad for me because they’re like, that’s just what Minah is like.”
“Just being yourself is always enough in the end,” she added.
The final of The Traitors airs on Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.
Minah said she will be viewing the final with her cast mates and does not know who has won.
