Emma Bunton’s former Spice Girls bandmates have celebrated her 49th birthday with a selection of nostalgic messages and photos.
The singer, who is the youngest of the five, was known as Baby Spice while in the chart-topping girl group who split in the noughties and have since reunited for special events and tours, including the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) shared a video montage of her with Bunton which included clips of the pair singing together.
Alongside the Instagram post, she wrote: “Happy Birthday to my darling @emmaleebunton hope you have the most beautiful day and a year full of wonderful opportunities, especially some we can share! Love you to pieces.”
Nicole Appleton, who was in the girl group All Saints, left a pair of heart emojis in the comments section.
Earlier in the month, Bunton celebrated Chisholm’s 51st birthday with a social media post that said: “Side by side always. Happy birthday my beautiful friend. Here’s to celebrating together every year.”
Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) shared a selection of photos to social media and wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY BUNTONNNN. We always have (the) most fun when were together luv youuu.”
Elsewhere, fashion designer Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) wished Bunton a “happy birthday” in a post to her Instagram stories which showed her giving Bunton a piggy back.
Bunton, who recently performed during the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, is a presenter on Heart Radio and has had a successful solo career with songs including chart-topper What Took You So Long?.
