Sir Steve Redgrave has described his Dancing On Ice experience as “absolutely amazing” after being booted off the show.
The former Olympic rower, who won gold medals at five consecutive Games between 1984 and 2000, and skating partner Vicky Ogden went home in the ITV show’s fourth week.
There was no skate-off on Sunday’s show, meaning Sir Steve was eliminated in a straight vote by the audience at home.

Asked by presenter Holly Willoughby if he had loved every second of the show, he said: “I haven’t enjoyed falling over.
“But it’s been absolutely amazing, and this young lady (Ogden) has been incredible.”
All contestants skated to songs that meant something special to them on Sunday, with Sir Steve choosing an anthem that celebrated his career on water.
He scored 21.5 points from the judges, which was the lowest score of the week.
TV personality Dan Edgar earned 35 points – the highest score of the series so far – after performing to Frank Sinatra classic Blue Moon in a tribute to his grandparents.

Former footballer Anton Ferdinand gave a performance dedicated to his late mother and his home town of Peckham, south London, set to Tarrus Riley’s She’s Royal, and scored 34 points.
BBC presenter Michaela Strachan picked up the same number of points after dancing to Shakira in a performance focused on the city of Cape Town.
TV personality Chris Taylor, skating with a new partner, Robin Johnstone, picked up 28.5 points after stumbling at the beginning of his performance, which was set to the Pokemon theme tune.
He said that he was “gutted” that he had “decked it” during the dance, but the judges praised his ability to bounce back and finish the routine in time.
His initial partner Vanessa Bauer told the ITV show she had been forced to withdraw from the rest of the series after tearing ligaments backstage in “an accident” earlier this week.
Coronation Street actor Sam Aston also took a slight stumble in his performance, which celebrated the early days of his career on the soap, and scored 29 points.
Presenter Stephen Mulhern revealed after the dance that Aston “fell very badly” during rehearsals and had to have his shoulder clicked back into place.
The Traitors star Mollie Pearce and EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks each scored 31 points for performances inspired by The Greatest Showman and singer Adele respectively.
Brooks’s performance moved her daughter Kiki to tears in the crowd.
The presenters revealed the skate-off would return in next week’s show.
