THE times, dates and venues for the upcoming AIB All-Ireland Club Championship games have been confirmed, with the Senior and Intermediate semi-finals set to take place in the first weekend of January.

Ulster champions Errigal Ciaran will take on Kerry’s Dr Crokes while Ballinderry will also face opposition from the Kingdom as they take on Austin Stacks. Naomh Padraig of Donegal clash with Tara of London in the Twinning final that same weekend.

Errigal Ciaran claimed their third Ulster title at the start of December and remain the only Tyrone club to have got their hands on the Seamus McFerran Cup. They defeated Kilcoo in the decider by the narrowest of margins.

They’ll take on two-time All-Ireland champions Dr Crokes on Sunday 5 January at Laois Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise at 3.30pm. Pat O’Shea’s side picked up their ninth Munster title this season and are aiming to qualify for their first All-Ireland title since 2017.

On the other side of the draw, Sligo’s Coolera-Strandhill meet Dublin and Leinster champions Cuala at Kingspan Breffni Park at 1.30pm on the same day. Both semi-finals will be shown live on TG4.

Interestingly, both Ballinderry and Austin Stacks have claimed All-Ireland Senior Club titles in the past, but both are very much focused on delivering at Intermediate level at the moment and both are vying for a spot in the showpiece.

They lock horns at Glenisk O’Connor Park, Tullamore at 1pm on Saturday 4 January. Kildare side Caragh lock horns with Mayo’s Crossmolina and they face off at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford at 1pm on the same day.

Naomh Padraig’s rescheduled fixtures with London’s Tara is also on Sunday 5 January and will be played in McGovern Park, Ruislip.
